After our 22 mile run yesterday, Pam and I had our first of two consecutive rest days. We are still walking and stretching and doing Doga with Sandy though.
We did come across a tidbit of information to share with everyone.....we discovered that TODAY is the start of Be Kind to Animals Week!....So my question to you is how will chose to be kind to animals this week.....
There are so many things you can do....from making a homemade treat for your animal companion. To doing a workout together with your companion, in other words GET YOUR LEASH ON!, You can help other save a live or two by making Monday- MEATLESS MONDAY!.....You can purchase our book and help shelter animals at Kent Animal Shelter! And these are just a few things you can do.......maybe getting a new harness, collar, or leash for your dog. Maybe you can sing along with your bird (either their language or ours)......or you can go run a favorite race (or use a favorite running tshirt) and take a photo of your companion and yourself in the shirt......and use the hashtag....#runningdogs......
Don't forget about our fundraiser for the shelter that helped me find my furever home!
You can help us help them out (did I just go all Jerry Maguire on you all there?!?!?).....anyway click on these links and you can buy our book- in fact, we will start instead of just the month of May- we will extend it from April 15 to May 24th and with every book sold we will donate a portion of the proceeds to Kent Animal Shelter......
